The Home Ed Hub was envisioned in early 2023 by a group of like-minded home educating parents who saw a growing need within the community. We recognised the importance of creating a space with heart and a strong sense of community—a place where home educated children could truly thrive.
We imagined a place where children could come to learn about and gain their independence. Where self-led, real world, project-based learning was key. We recognised milestones look different for each individual and we believe that any achievement should be noted and celebrated.
Nestled within the serene grounds of Watlington Hill Farm Sanctuary, the Hub offers an interactive and hands-on learning experience. While children are encouraged to follow their interests, they also have the opportunity to engage in structured projects designed to enrich their education.
Our Hub group have already achieved incredible milestones, from designing, building and planting a raised bed for fruit and vegetable growing to organising and running their own car boot sale, and Christmas Market. These activities not only foster practical skills but also promote creativity, confidence and teamwork.

Tim
Hi I'm Tim. A home educating dad who has a passion for facilitating paths for our children to learn. I am a qualified electrician by trade, and have trained many apprentices. As co founder of Neigh I have many years of experience in mentoring young people, watching their confidence grow gives me such a sense of pride. Having been on this home educating journey for 12 years now I have noticed a need for more young people to be given the chance to explore their education in their own way. This is what we aim to do here at Hub! A safe space for young people to grow and explore.
